Infrastructure

Another advantage Germany has as an economic hub is its highly developed supply and transport infrastructure. The road and rail network is very extensive, and along with the modern telecommunications infrastructure this means that goods, services and information can be swiftly exchanged. More is being invested in the infrastructure thanks to the introduction and great acceptance of ultramodern technologies. For example, in 2004, more than half the population was using the Internet and approximately two thirds of the population were using mobile telephones
